This Vox article is insane, the reporter texted SBF and the guy was pretty candid. He said his ideas about regulation and his ideas about doing good were all just PR that he did for his reputation. It was all bullshit in his eyes. He was trying to do good but he ended up doing bad. He seems to be trying to dissociate himself from his actions and his old self. I imagine he did truly buy his own hype and now he's seeing himself as he is.
Though not really because he also thinks he can fundraise his way out of this and he believes this wasn't really his fault.
