I've been using mastodon for a little bit now and even without any interaction I enjoy just writing my thoughts down as I got and posting them immediately. I built my eva editor for Universe while posting at the end of the day of what I did and I found that I really enjoyed that format. Writing out a blog or even thoughts here feels far bigger and makes me want to write well. I like the off the cuff format of mastodon.
I never used twitter and I think the reason I like using mastodon is, it feels very small and intimate. Even though I don't have a following this feels like a safer place than the big open twitter world. So far it has replaced my blogging site. Microbloging is great and I can truly understand why people use something like twitter and mastodon now.
This blog of mine is starting to shift into just a repo of all my thoughts and work which is a good thing. Ultimately I want this to be like the personal wikis that people have.
