Great show, spoilers, etc...

Fucking hell this season has the best series start with Kenny's mom Tian Chen dying and being tortured while Boyd is forced to watch. The monsters show a level of cunning and hate that they hadn't previously. They lured them into the barn and released the animals while they were in a food shortage to force Boyd to act. This was fucking awful.

I dreaded having to have Kenny learn this and he is by far my favourite character of the show. Goddamn does it suck to be him.

The other major thing is Fatima with her baby and I think she might be becoming a monster. She wants to eat rotten food and she's eaten human flesh or at least blood but I would bet flesh as well. I think she is turning. I'm not sure why but fuck is it horrifying. Especially since in season 1 I called her the only little bit of sunshine in the entire place. She was so pure in season 1 that I was wondering if there was going to be any darkness and god damn things got dark for her.

Boyd is losing his shit. Donna is losing her shit. Everyone is losing it and everyone is barely holding on. The show's energy is insane. Season 2 I was not a fan but season 3 has been tension nonstop. I haven't hated any single character, well besides Tabitha who I can't get over as being pretty stupid. She causes a car crash and gets herself back to the goddamn town without going to the original bottle tree.

Officer Karan has entered the chat and she is now my second disliked character alongside Randall. Both are just dicks.

I also thought Victor said that the bottle tree is a special tree that takes you to the lighthouse. I wonder why it didn't work for Dale, did the writers forget or do you have to be chosen to go to the lighthouse. Miranda, Victor's mom, also never made it to the tree. She died near it. I don't remember if Victor confirmed he saw Eloise's body. I wonder if she will play a role in the future.

Someone throws a rope to Boyd when he's trapped in the hole and we learn that it was Julie who threw that rope. Time and space both seem to be bent in the town.

We finally got the first lore dump of the series and it basically told us nothing. The boy in white talks to Christopher and tells him some scary shit about the children. I have no idea if there's a big bad horror monster or if the children are going to be important to everything. The whole idea of saving the children from the tower still hasn't gone anywhere.

The other settlement that they have now found is pretty interesting. I love the statues in front and the fact they seem to be hearing other things now and not the regular monsters is very cool. Why hasn't anyone looked outside at the other settlement yet? What are the wards for? Why does the food grow around there while the town is poisoned. What is wrong with the soil. What's going on with the trees and them moving or is that over now.

Also this is the first time the weather has changed and there is actual snow now.

I think the show writers are aware of people asking questions like why isn't anyone asking why the buildings are so weird and pointedly saying that everyone has asked those questions and they haven't got any answers. At a certain point it just becomes part of the backdrop of life here. Fair.

Also I mentioned before that the tunnels were never talked about. We do find out Tabitha probably told people and we were never shown it. Kenny goes to the tunnels to fight the monsters after his mom dies. This implies they know about the tunnels. Still seems silly for the show to not show it and definitely the fact that they just leave it open for everyone to wander through.

Victor get's a warning from one of the monsters saying that if he keeps coming in here, that they'll have to keep him there. The implication is they know about all the times he's been there and they let him leave each time. He isn't doing anything that they aren't aware of. Which is utterly terrifying. How much of the show is still going against the town.

Season 3 is going pretty well. There are 2 episodes left, I wonder if this is going to be season where we actually get some answers.

Episode 9 continues to be a masterclass in how bad Tabitha is. She follows a child ghost into the root cellar. Finds Victor, doesn't investigate anything else and Fatima is in the next room being held by a ghost. The place isn't torturing the residents so much as torturing me. Goddamn. I also realized this show does drastically better with the creepiness of things when watched in a binge. A week long wait gets rid of that skin crawling feeling. I also don't care to read any theories as I think that actually ruins this show. I like Game of Thrones was great with all the theories but the show fulfilled none of them. I see something similar happening here except the mystery is the point of the show. I want the show to explain its solution, I don't want to have 10 different and usually better answers. This didn't matter as much in GoT because there is was just how the story would play out, the mystery aspect wasn't the point of the show as it is here.

Looking forward to episode 10 but I can already tell that we aren't going to really get anything satisfactory.
