Windows Speech Recoginition

I want to do 3 very specific things on my windows machine. I want to say command prompt and have it open the command prompt. I want to say explorer and have it open the file explorer and lastly I want to say terminal and have it open a terminal to Ubuntu running under WSL.

I honestly don't think these are terribly huge asks but I can't seem to wire it up properly. I think the Dragon Naturally Speaking application might be better but it's a paid option so I'm trying out the Windows Speech Recognition app. It works but not quite the way I want. I can say Open Command Prompt and Open File Explorer and it works. The mic isn't sensitive enough perhaps. I do use a on desk mic and it should be picking things up but I find that I have to direct my voice directly to my mic for it to work.

I also don't want it listening constantly. Ideally it would be a push to talk function where I can hold a button down, say my command and let it go and have it turn off. I want to be able to type out words and have it run a specific script. Maybe that is a better way to go. I could write ahk scripts that execute things and probably wire them up to the speech program.

I'll need to think about this.
