One other thing I really want is to have my IP address on my screen at all times. I really need to looking into the ricing community again. The last time I riced my computer was back in university days. I bet that /w/ is still the exact same. They are still the same.
I found BgInfo which is a tool provided by microsoft to do exactly what I'm trying to do. This is perfect! I'm slowly building a bin of windows tools that I want everywhere. It looks like bginfo doctors the background and replaces it to get the data on the screen. One issue is that I can't get a custom color for just the data. I want my background but a better background around the text so I can read it easily. Never mind! I can change the color of the font and I can also have the text area not be see through. This is perfect.
The other issue is that it doesn't update enough. I might be able to tweak the settings because currently I need to restart bginfo when I switch VPNs to get the IP.
One great thing would be I could actually highlight the words. That would be great as well. This is quite nice. It's right up there with using linkbar to get more buttons on my screen.
